Profile

Relationship Status:
Engaged
Hometown:
Boston
Wedding Date:
July 26 2008
About Me:
I'm 34, I'm 6' 2", 170 lbs. Brown hair, brown/green eyes. Extremely important information. Very useful for picking me out of a crowd of two.

My gal is one of the pillars of bridester, and when this popped up minutes ago, she handed me the laptop. So... guys talk about our marriages? OK great.
Share a couple of offbeat details from your wedding:
Camping friends, lawn games. Looking for some cool fire torchy things. She's a practicing wiccan, I'm sort of along for the ride and I like cool rituals. Even though I have stepped away from the high rituals of the catholic church. Time to make up some new ones.
What is one idea for your wedding you've been the most afraid to suggest to your fiance?
That there was no way my dad was going to allow a trampoline on his land.
What one thing do you want to have at the wedding more than anything else?
A whole roasted hog.
What wedding tradition do you dislike most?
All the frippery and bullshit, boutonnieres, matching bridesmaids, all that. And most of all, most, most of all, the Wedding-Industrial Complex. You must do it like this. You musn't do that. "You're not going to want to..." "You're going to need..." All this stuff about how it must be done. Tradition I guess?

And I guess it is useful, but thenoose.com is a bit much. It seemed mostly useful for getting my gal anxious about the various things we haven't done yet. But I only dislike theknot as a representative of the larger American Weding Juggernaut. the juggerknot.com. Arf. I slay me.

Nice! Congrats! We met on the playa in 2004, but lived 2 miles apart (I in Davis Sq, her in Central Sq). We had intersecting social crowds, but only barely so we'd never met before. Are you part of the Boston Burner crowd? You look vaguely familiar, but I don't think I know you.
