- What is one idea for your wedding you've been the most afraid to suggest to your fiance?
- Bagpipes. Wearing blades.

- The people dearest to me in a single room. It's never happened before, and probably never will again.
- What wedding tradition do you dislike most?
- My character deliberately sidesteps. In summary I detest the hollow mockery that can remain of traditions when stripped of their origins and viewed with no eye for circumstance or the meat on their bones.
I cannot comprehend buying into a billion dollar industry that robs you of your own moment, bit for bit, buck for sweet buck, until your own expression has all but been replaced.
Fuck that. They're not taking my moment. I want to be part of redefining wedding tradition, not indulging it.

I chortle, too, when I see myself sitting on my ass and actually having a hand in planning my wedding. But you know, the creativity is here now and I like using it. I noticed in another post that you guys are building a photobooth?! That is so great! That was one of my solutions to the ridiculously high cost of renting a photobooth, but it was abandoned (for fear of not being able to actually build it for cheaper than a rental). Please tell us more of your plan! How will you control it, how much are you expecting to spend and all the details. My B2B & I would still love to have a PB, but only on the cheap cheap.
Not only does that look cool, but it's a short drive from my house.
As for hats, I haven't found anything that calls to me yet. But I want one. We'll see.
