Clothing Woes

Well, not so much woe, as indecision. But we're a year out, so it's not yet a biggie. Today I made up my mind that I wanted to wear a light grey suit at our wedding. It's a practical color, something to avoid the possible heat of late May in Chicago. Light grey would also go great with purple, our main color, and would add great contrast against the bridal white. I'd still look dapper in a bowtie, though if I had a grey suit, it should be a purple tie. I could possible still get away with a win… Continue

On the things I'd be wearing

I have ideas for what I want to wear for my wedding. I'm pretty sure that I want to wear a wing collared shirt with a black bow tie; they're a simple, smart and elegant choice. Also, a waistcoat or cummerbund would be appropriate and classy. However, the suiting options are what are bogging me down. Help me with color matching!

We have just nailed down the colors we're going to be working with for the wedding. We decided a while ago that we weren't interested in doing anything in white or black, and that color was the way to go. After bouncing around and lingering on a red/orange mix, we've settled on a blue/gray scheme. The wedding dress is going to be mostly ('sapphire') blue, with light blue-gray ('cloud')accents and some trappings in a turquoise ('mosaic'). Never look a wedding vendor in the eye

You must treat them like capuchin monkeys, either look at their foreheads or their chins when you have to speak to them. All other times, just stare at the floor and walk by them at a fast clip. Kilt, Sherwani, Kimono

I chortle, too, when I see myself sitting on my ass and actually having a hand in planning my wedding. But you know, the creativity is here now and I like using it.
