Places to party for poor people (in NYC!)

Hi! We're in the initial stages to organising a trip to Ny for The Big Day (TM) next July, and we've settled on a couple of cool places for the pre-gig/ceremony/nosebag, but not being from NYC, we're not sure about where to go for drinks and dancing in the evening. Does anyone (NYC-based or not) have any inexpensive suggestions?

It looks a bit purple in this picture but it's more of a blue. Also when it's closed it used these two straps to close it and I'm going to go with buttons. Also I will have a ivory shirt instead of a yellow one, to match my brides dress
