Fez. Tarbush. Turban. Sombrero. Paddyfield. Newsboy/scally/snapbrim. Panama.

But I'm not thinking of wearing any of those. Cowboy or panama I'm thjinking. I'm known for my cowboy hats.

But that doesn';t mean I'll necessarily do that at my weddding. Buit I sure as hell might. MY bsb just showed me this great site for western wear:
http://www.westernemporium.com/store/oldwest_hats.php?from=leftnav

hats, as well as dope outfits. this should be crossreferenced to the what to wear page.

Ah, indeed, an offshoot of gentlemansemporium.com. That certainly is cool. Hey man, my grandfather was a Montana cowboy from Ireland; if you feel like rockin' a cowboy hat, I say go for gold.

When you say 'known' for your cowboy hats, does that mean I should keep a lookout when I'm downtown? :D

So I figured I'd keep subcategories of clothing discussion under the main forum header, but we'll see how things develop! Thanks again for your input, dude!

This isn't exactly a hat, but they serve the same function: to keep the sun off. we're going to get a bunch of parasol, cheap ones that we can give them away, and hand them out. It's gonna be hot out there on the hillock during the lengthy handfasting! Keep the oldies from melting.

If we were getting hitched outside, the b2b would probably go for one, too, being a courtesan and all. Come to think of it, they probably cut down on the need for large tents, canopies or other types of cover, yeah? Gives people mobility, some more locomotive freedom. I rather like that.

I'd check out Chinatown, you could probably floss a wicked good wholesale parasol deal. Also, the ladies will likely go bananas. They love that stuff.

In my neighborhood, there are literally dozens of sketchy-looking warehouses whose names all involve the words "china" and "import". Been in one, had to fight my way around 1200 styrofoam crates of decorative bamboo crates to buy a few little paper lanterns and the golden lolcat waving at you. They, yes they, can probably find me a half-container of paper parasols. Or you too.

Wait- courtesan? You're marrying a prostitute?

:D She prides herself being comfortable in the guise of a 15th c. Italian Renaissance courtesan, yes. She's always had prolific presence in historic re-enactment groups.

A courtesan was certainly not a whore, though. A prostitute couldn't sing, play, read, write, compose, research, orate, paint.

It was the difference between eloquent seduction, or turning tricks. High rolling guys shelled out a lot of dough to be... appropriately entertained. Hell, your wife couldn't read past the psalms, couldn't give decent head and churned out kids. Not her job. But whores were for commoners, or worse, the indiscriminate.

Back to topic, she loves parasols. Good idea, man.
